Wrigley

2yr old Bend, Oregon

Arrive 3/1/2008

Wrigley came with some attitude and is pushy. He’s starting to learn it's better to be good.

Hi Don,
Wrigley is doing outstanding!!!  I am so thrilled with him I am just about bursting with pride.  After his 4 weeks off from his abscess, I hauled him to a barn about 1/2 an hour away to just get him out of the pasture. He didn't care that he was in a new area surrounded by a bunch of new horses, or that he hadn't been worked with in over a month. He stayed focused and was very well behaved.  Since then we went on a trail ride, where he was very calm, and just took in the scenery without a care.  I've been riding him almost every day and last Wednesday night I took him to a sorting practice and introduced him to cows.  I rode him into the pen and pushed them around a bit. He was a bit weary at first not really knowing  what was going on.  But I'm hoping this Wednesday he will be a little more relaxed in the herd.  I will take some pictures and email them to you, I am just so excited to be riding and working with him, he is doing so wonderful.  He hasn't copped an attitude, he is just happy to be out, worked with, and given a job.
Thank you and your family for all your hard work!  I'm sorry if that was long winded but I had to give the update!  Also, tell Mike congrats on graduating!
Thank you,
Melissa
